Sri Latha Curry House

Sri Latha Curry House

With lunch lines that make the hungry  go hungry, word is out that Sri Latha is THE spot for Banana Leaf Rice. The wait is worth it, as service is quick with a team that stacks up the banana leaf with rice, dhal, curry, rasam, and an assortment of vegetables, watch as you appetite tightens with even new addition to the leaf. The vegetarian set is filling enough on its own with an assortment of atleast 3 vegetable dishes, but if you’re looking for something meaty a personal recommendation would be the mutton curry – dense, savoury and satisfying.

The waterfront facelift!

Over the years, places have come and gone on the waterfront strip. Some may have stayed longer than others and become familiar to us, ending in teary drunken goodbyes as they shut their doors. But to every end, there is a new beginning no? Well it’s that time of the year again to see a new wave of establishments on KK’s main watering hole. Here are the new contenders :

YOLO

YOLO doesn’t want to miss out on anything life, and embodies this spirit in it’s weekly schedule that offers acoustic weekends, a resident DJ spinning tracks, a dance club on its 1st floor and also a live band. Did we also mention that ladies night is every night here, why? Because YOLO!

Santan Café

Irish heart with an Asian stomach? Santan Café comes to us from the same family that mans the Shamrock Irish Bar, just next door! With a warm nostalgia through its baba nyonya interior, the café embraces the Asian in us by celebrating our local flavours in favourites such as Nasi Goreng Kampung, Sambal Ikan, Tom Yam and not forgetting, seafood.  Although serving no pork, alcoholic beverages can be ordered next door at the Irish Bar and vice versa on food.
