Borneo Bird Festival 2017

The Borneo Bird Festival celebrates the feathered beauties of Borneo, creating public awareness in conservation efforts while promoting birdwatching and eco-tourism activities. A total of 688 resident and migratory bird species have been recorded in Borneo, 60 of which are endemic. The Festival will be held at Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC) in Sandakan, home to endemic species such as the Bornean Bristlehead, Bornean Falconet and Black-crowned pitta. Highlights include a Bird Race, a guided bird walk, photography contests, workshops, exhibitions, activities for children and a youth camp.
